Volunteers Needed to Assemble the Newsletter
The monthly Rogue Walker newsletter owes its entire life to our fantastic group of volunteers. Since its inception almost 30 years
ago, the newsletter has been edited, printed, assembled and labeled for mailing by a very dedicated group of Rogue Group volunteers.
Over the years, this group has expanded and contracted, but several of those meeting each month are the original volunteers.
A few are in their 80's, and they show up rain or shine. Without their dedication we wouldn't have a monthly newsletter.
In fact, our Rogue Walker is the only monthly newsletter published by any Oregon Sierra Club entity. All of the other groups
publish quarterly, due to the lack of volunteers to make it happen. The RGSC Ex Com believes it is important to have a monthly
letter to keep members informed of local environmental news, actions, programs and outings in a timely manner. In a recent poll,
members agreed that a monthly newsletter is important.
We want to continue to provide our monthly newsletter, but we do need more help to assemble, fold and label. We meet once a
month, usually the last Thursday of the month, at our office in Ashland. We start at 1 pm and finish in about 2 1/2 hours. You need
not be present every month but we would like you to mark your calendar early and set aside some time to help us as often as possible.
We publish the next assembly date in the Rogue Walker on the last page in the "Bulletin Board" section. We always have
snacks and beverages. The meeting room has air conditioning when it's warm and heat when it's cold. It's a fun way to volunteer
and meet new friends and visit with long time acquaintances. We even make a reminder phone call to each volunteer a few days
ahead of the assembly date. Please help us and volunteer - it feels good! Contact me at 840-7236, kbiechler@wave.net with your name and phone number
to be added to our list or for more information.

Assistant Program Coordinator and Program Helpers
RGSC would like to present 6 programs per year, but we need help. We now have an Assistant Program Coordinator to help schedule our Program meetings.
Program Helpers come 30 minutes early to the Programs and help us set up tables, chairs or other equipment, coffee service and to greet attendees, then help us with clean up after the program (usually less than 15 minutes.)
