Juniper Group 2014 Executive Committee Election

The Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is the governing body of the Juniper Group and consists of seven members under the Group By-Laws. The Executive Committee meets regularly to establish the group goals, and plan and schedule the group activities. Approximately half the Committee is elected each year: i.e. four one year; three the next year. The 2014 election will fill four seats.
This election will elect four members to the Executive Committee for a two year term beginning January 2015. The officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) are not elected at large, but are chosen by the Executive Committee members each year after the newly elected Executive Committee is seated. Nominations for the 2014 Executive Committee election were accepted from May 13th through June 13th by the Nominating Committee appointed by the current Executive Committee. The Nominating Committee members were Meriel Darzen, Mickie Nichols and Alice LeBarron. These same people will also serve as the Elections Committee to count the ballots and certify the election result.
The four candidates are: Alison Hamway, Larry Pennington, Dave Stowe, and Gretchen Valido. Each candidate has submitted a candidacy statement. All four statements can be read at 2014 Election Statements.
Voting is now closed.
Following the close of voting on October 30th, the Elections Committee will count the votes submitted. An announcement of the election results will be made by December 1, 2014. This announcement will be: posted on this web site; sent by email to those members who have provided their email addresses; and announced at the December Program Night (December 12th). The new Executive Committee will begin serving at the first Executive Committee meeting after January 1, 2015.
