Fuji Mountain

Fuji Mountain lies at the southwestern most boundary of the existing Waldo Lake Wilderness, and at 7144 feet provides a captivating view of Waldo Lake itself, as well as the Three Sisters Wilderness to the north, the proposed Maiden Peak protection area to the east with a great view of The Twins, and the rough and tumble peaks of the Old Cascades to the northwest. The existing Wilderness boundary runs across the summit. By protecting the south and western approaches to the mountain, the South Waldo protection area will set aside one of the premier scenic viewpoints in the Cascades.
