The Twins are the second highest peaks in the proposed Maiden Peaks protection area at 7362 feet. They provide a panoramic view of the Cascade Crest from the Three Sisters and Broken Top to Diamond Peak. There are two peaks. The North Twin can be most easily reached from the south at a trailhead off the Waldo access highway near Waldo Lake. The South Twin can be reached most easily from the north using a trialhead near Charlton Lake. Both trails take you along sections of the Pacific Crest Trail and through long stretches of beautiful old growth Hemlock. Below are photos from the trails and from the peaks. Enjoy. Then join us next summer to see the real thing!
